Verbs with prepositions | Verben mit präpositionen ~Grundstufe/ Mittelstufe
I began learning these things in Book 2 of the Grundstufe and hated them from the very beginning. It goes away after a while but the list keeps growing. Reaching this point almost turned me away from German, but stick with it, write sentences for each verb.

Separable & Unseparable Prefixes | Trennbar & Untrennbar Vorsilben - ~ Mittelsstufe 3

Noun & Verb Relationship| Nomen & Verben - ~ Mittelsstufe 1
This is when everything starts to make sense. Every infinivite verb can be used as a noun and a lot of verbs from the 3rd person presense or imperfect forms can used as nouns as well. Example: The noun 'die Ansicht' is related to the verb 'ansehen'. I found knowing these relationship have helped me build my vocabulary. Here are few lists:

Idioms ~ Grundstufe - Oberstufe
Aren't Germans so creative? The imagination!...the, eh, confusion. They are used often enough especially in written text that you need to know. A lot is said in just a few lines of text when you read one of these babies.
